Roger Connor is the curator of vertical flight, unmanned aircraft systems, instruments and avionics at the Smithsonian Institution’s National Air and Space Museum. He received his bachelor’s degree from Virginia Tech and his master’s degrees in museum studies from The George Washington University and in American history from George Mason University, where he is currently a Ph.D. student. He is a fixed-wing commercial pilot with more than 4,000 flight hours. He has held flight instructor certificates in the U.S. and U.K.
